This Hasegawa P40e Kittyhawk III, is made up as a P40e-1 that the RAAF had on had to defend Milne Bay, the subject had a very short service life and was finished in the Dupont manufactured paint, applied by the Curtiss Factory, which was intended for service with the AVG in China, the Shark Mouth motif came from an old AeroMaster decal sheet, the RAAF roundels and fin flash came from a mix and match from the spares box.

Camouflage is from the Model Master enamels range, of Olive Drab and Sand on the upper surfaces with Light Blue underneath, the spinner is Insignia White and the Blue is Humbrol #49.
