A Consignment Build: Progress on the conversion of the very old AMT A20b/c Havoc/Boston kit in 48 scale, these light bombers where the export version originally ordered by both the French and British, but this particular subject is the Tropical modification intended for the Dutch East Indies, but where diverted to Australia when Java surrendered. The modifications are the cowling slots and a single exhaust outlet, the kit remains unchanged in basic profile, but the bombadeir equipment was removed with 4x .30 cal machine guns where installed and the glass house {in all cases} was simply painted over.
Two views of the model subject. NOTE: The brass tube gun barrels in the nose section.

Some years back Scale Magic produced a full conversion for this kit when it was available, from AMT but Italeri produced the kit for about 8 years and have from 2010 have removed it from production, in favour of the A20g version.
Cowling slots cleaned up.
Clear parts added and masked off.
Pre shading of the panel lines, using Tamiya Acrylic Mat Black.
