The 10 Commandments: Empty
PostSubject: The 10 Commandments:   The 10 Commandments: EmptyThu Dec 05 2013, 22:29

As I had a set of rules for our past model competitions and some model manufacturing companies are, making finished model subjects from their factories, as either aircraft or armour.
It was put to me that there are some people within the modelling community that have tried to enter pre assembled factory finished models into competitions, as these model subjects are outside any model competition rules and as a means of keeping the future competitions for honest modellers.
Therefore Glen was good enough to add his ideas into, the previous rules I already had and in so doing made up what is now known as the Southern Model Club's 10 Commandments.

 1. All models entered by the competitor must be completely finished for public viewing.
 2. All models entered MUST include it's relative instructions and painting guide.
 3. Alternate paint schemes and/or any alternate after-market modifications should include any references and in doing so will increase points.
 4. All models entered must be in the form of a model kit, made from plastic, resin, or paper.
 5. All models entered must be built by the person or persons entering it, models can be entered on behalf of another modeller.
 6. Each model entered is eligible for ONE category only.
 7. Any winning model entered in a previous Southern Model Club competition is ineligible for re-entry.
 8. Although judging is based on a visual system, all models will be judged on an NNL points system.
 9. This competition is for the true modeller and, is for those who have worked hard building their projects, any model falsely entered will be disqualified from the competition.
10. Southern Model Club reserves the right to refuse any model, or related subject, that it does not see fit for any of it's categories.

For any of our previous or future model competitions we allow entries from both.
Junior:
Under 12 years of age and Intermediate: Under 18 years of age at the time of the competition.
