A B34 or a Ventura Mk II Empty
PostSubject: A B34 or a Ventura Mk II   A B34 or a Ventura Mk II EmptyFri Jan 23 2015, 16:29

Progress on the Revell Germany's second boxing of the PV1 Ventura, this time as an RAF Mk II, {which contains the paint masks for all clear parts}, there is a notable difference between the 2 kits and the additional parts are on small sprues added to the previous kit, with one exception and that is the Port Fuselage half does not have a separate crew entry door. My build has the True Details resin cockpit detail set added and the kit instrument decals, I scratch built a floor plate and added the Navigator and Radio Operator stations.

All interior painting is from The Gunze Acrylic range.

Decal Options for this kit are:-
467 Sqn R.N.Z.A.F.
464 Sqn R.A.A.F. [this option has a cartoon in the Squadron Code on the Starboard side].

NOTE:- In USAAC service this aircraft had the designation of B-34. It was also flown by the R.C.A.F. on Atlantic Patrols.
Next stage is to join the fuselage halves together.
