Trumpeter's BR 86 Loco Empty
PostSubject: Trumpeter's BR 86 Loco   Trumpeter's BR 86 Loco EmptyWed May 29 2013, 17:31

This is the BR 86 short haul Locomotive produced by Trumpeter in 35 scale, it has over 500 plastic parts, a photo etched sheet and rubber hoses, {which replicate the sand feed tubes}, the 2 colour option for this subject is an Overall German Grey, or the Red/Black livery, that I decided to build my subject in. The red is Model Master RLM 23 and the Black is Model Master Flat Black, both of these colours are enamels, the RLM 23 was applied to the chasis and wheels, while the remainder of the locomotive was painted in the flat black, as separate items, or sub assemblies. This subject is almost 40cm's long, included in the kit is a section of track, which will make up a diorama base for the completed model subject.

Note:- Trumpeter also manufacture a BR 52 Locomotive Long Haul Locomotive in both 35 and 72 scales.
This model has lead weights added to some parts as a means of keeping this build level..
