| This Heller boxing of the 72 scale Super Connie, which Vic Hobbies did a deal with JB Wholesalers, by including the RED ROO QANTAS Decal sheet, that would make 4 aircraft subjects, is another of the Matt subjects, but at least he built {didn't finish} it, Matt was asked by the particular club for a loan of this subject as part of their 2008 Model Expo display whose theme was World Airliners, my involvement in this subject was originally to assist in instruction of applying the Alclad II finish, but this model subject was a skill level 5 kit and had a very simple instruction sheet, that was more of a problem than the model, there is more filler in this build than plastic and the base primmer used was actually a White Undercoat enamel that we got from the local hardware store, the gloss white fuselage roof in also a tin of Gloss White we also got from the local hardware store, but the rest is either Model Master enamels or Alclad II lacquer. The subject in it's overall white primmer.Fuselage roof, Grey wing panels masked and Black primmer applied. All masking tape removed after the application of the Alclad II.Decals applied to Airliner subject. Upper view of the finished model subject, complete with trailing antena.NOTE:- The Decal used on this subject was first released in the mid 1970's, when this kit was originally produced. And had a tendency to SILVER in places.
