This 48 scale subject is the original Accurate Miniatures TBF 1c Grumman Avenger, built so laong ago when this kit first appeared in this scale, it is an OOB built and the decals used on this bird are from the OOP AeroMaster set for the RNZAF, which covered the Corsair, the Dauntless and this Avenger subject. The US Navy tri scheme on this build is all from the Model Master range of enamel paints, gloss cear was the Testors Glosscoat, {at the time of these photo's the model was still in the final assembly stage. When this aircraft was built there was no such thing as a canopy mask.
NOTE:- Since the demise of Accurate Miniatures this kit has appeared under the Italeri brand and just recently under Academy.
